‘Pod Trolley’ Development Update

October 1, 2013 10:02 pm

A new development for the easy handling and in-hospital transport of both Baby Pod II and Scan Pod.

We’re pleased to announce that development of this new accessory for the Baby Pod II and Scan Pod is progressing well and is on track for launch Q1 2014.

The trolley features a locking mechanism for the securing of the Scan Pod during transit through the hospital to the MRI unit, and similarly for the Baby Pod II to it’s attending ambulance or aircraft.

Made solely of non-magnetic materials, the Pod Trolley has the ability to deliver patients within a Pod directly into the MRI/CT without interfering with imaging equipment, and without the disruption to the patient of being manually handled at any point between the PICU and the MRI/CT suite.

Additionally, capacity exists to transport two oxygen cylinders (o2 capacity needed) for easily maintaining o2 supply to any Pod fitted with a ventilator.

The new Pod Trolley will be compatible with all Scan Pod models, and Baby Pod II models affixed to a mounting board platform.

We’re very excited about this new development and its potential to make our Pods an even more portable and flexible solution.

We’ll be exhibiting this new addition to the Baby Pod family at the Medica international trade fair (Dusseldorf, Germany) on November 20th-23rd 2013, so please come and find out if it could be the solution you’ve been waiting for.
